This article explains step by step how to claim your Spotify for Artists (S4A) profile to manage your music, view statistics, and customize your artist profile on Spotify.

What is Spotify for Artists?

Spotify for Artists is Spotify's official tool that allows musicians and their team to manage their profile, understand their audience, and promote their music. With a verified profile you can:

  • Customize your biography and profile images.

  • View detailed listener and streaming statistics.

  • Pitch your songs to Spotify's editorial playlists.

  • Use promotional tools like Countdown Pages and Discovery Mode.

Prerequisites

Before claiming your profile, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  1. Have at least one release distributed to Spotify through Random Sounds.

  2. Know your Artist URI (unique artist code on Spotify).

  3. Have a personal Spotify account (free or Premium).

💡 Your release must be live on Spotify in order to claim the profile. If your release is still being distributed, wait until it is published.

Step 1: Get your Artist URI

Your Artist URI is a code in the format spotify:artist:XXXXXXXXXXXX that identifies your artist profile on Spotify. To get it:

Option A — From Spotify:

  1. Open Spotify and find your artist profile

  2. Click the three dots (⋯) next to the artist name

  3. Select Share → Copy artist URI

Option B — Request it from Random Sounds:

If you can't find your URI, contact our support team with your artist name and the UPC of one of your releases. We will send you your URI code.

The URI looks like this: spotify:artist:1hqbN6wFQvxmEAXXXXXXXX — you must copy it completely, from start to finish.

Step 2: Claim your profile on Spotify for Artists

  1. Go to artists.spotify.com

  2. Click on “Get Access” or “Obtener acceso”

  3. Log in with your personal Spotify account

  4. Search for your artist name or paste your Artist URI in the search bar

  5. Select your correct artist profile

  6. Spotify will ask you to verify your identity. Follow the on-screen instructions

  7. Once verified, you will have full access to your S4A profile

💡 Spotify verification can take between 24 hours and 7 days. You will receive an email from Spotify when your access is approved.

Common Issues

My release doesn't appear on Spotify for Artists

Sometimes Spotify takes time to link new releases with your S4A account. If your release is already available on Spotify but doesn't appear on S4A, contact us so we can reach out to the Spotify team.

My music appears on another artist's profile

If your release was assigned to a homonymous artist profile (same name), we need to relocate the release to your correct profile. Contact us with your artist name, the release UPC, and the link to the incorrect profile.

I can't find my profile when searching on S4A

Try searching using your Artist URI instead of your name. If it still doesn't appear, your release may not yet be processed by Spotify. Wait 48-72 hours after the release date and try again.

I'm a label or distributor (White Label) and need an artist's URI

Contact our support team with the release UPC and artist name. We will provide the URI so you can claim the Spotify for Artists profile.
