Most Common Problems with Releases Artwork
Updated over a week ago

If your releases artwork contains any of the following prohibited content, our review team will request you to modify it.

Common Issues in Release Artwork

1 - Images with Incorrect Release Information

Artist Involvement

  • If a release features two main artists, the artwork should state “Artist 1 & Artist 2” or simply list the artists as “Artist 1” and “Artist 2.” It should not say “Artist 1 feat. Artist 2” unless the artists are featured.

  • If a release features a collaboration, the artwork should say “Artist 1 feat. Artist 2.”

Release Title

  • The release title on the artwork must match the actual release title.

2 - Copyrighted Images

Examples:

  • Scenes from movies, series, documentaries, or video games.

  • Illustrations downloaded from the internet.

  • Brand logos.

3 - Images with Explicit, Sexual, or Gore Content

Platforms are very cautious about explicit, sexual, or gore content. To avoid issues, refrain from using such content in your artwork.

4 - Photographs of People Without Consent

Examples:

  • Other popular artists, athletes, journalists, celebrities, etc.

  • People who did not authorize the use of their image.

5 - Blurry or Pixelated Images

6 - Stretched or Distorted Images

7 - Images with Too Much Blank Space or Too Small

8 - Low-Quality Images

9 - Incomplete Images or Cut-off Text
