✍️ Step-by-step tutorial
1 - Go to the Splits section in Backstage.
2 - Click the New Split button in the upper right corner.
3 - Choose the user who owns the song(s) to include in the split.
4 - Choose the song(s) to include in the split from the active releases list of the user chosen in the previous step.
5 - Choose the splitters, along with their percentage and role.
If the user doesn't already have a splitter configured in their account, you can also create a new one using the + button in the Splitter field.
6 - Make sure the percentages are correct and click Next.
7 - Choose the start month for the split.
8 - Double-check that all the information is correct and click Create.
9 - Done! The system will send emails to the Splitters to accept the splits. They have 30 days from the split creation date to do so.
