How to Use the A&R Feature in Your White Label Account

The A&R (Artists & Repertoire) feature in Random Sounds White Label allows you to invite representatives who can help grow your catalog.

Updated over a month ago

📌 Important: Only administrators can configure A&R users. Assign the A&R role in the profile of the user you want to invite.

Accessing the A&R Section

To get started:

  1. Go to the Backstage sidebar menu.

  2. Click on A&R to expand the options.

  3. Select Contracts to begin configuration.

Creating an A&R Contract

Once inside the A&R > Contracts section, click “Create” to configure a new exclusive contract for one of your A&R users.

The contract creation screen includes the following fields:

  • Contract Name: Internal name to identify the contract (e.g., “A&R Contract Latin America”).

  • User Owner: The A&R user who will own the contract.

  • A&R Commission: Commission percentage the A&R will receive from the revenue generated by the artists they invite.

  • Starts at / Expires at: Start and end dates for the contract.

  • Active: Toggle to activate or deactivate the contract.

  • User contract commission (optional): The percentage the distributor will take. If left blank, the current user contract terms will apply.

Invite or Assign Users to This Contract

Once the contract has been created and saved, you can link artists or labels directly from the contract’s edit screen.

Follow this steps:

  1. Open the contract from the list under A&R > Contracts.

  2. Scroll down to the Users section.

  3. Click the vertical three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of that section.

You’ll see two options:

  • Invite User: Send an invitation via email to an artist or label to join under this contract.

  • Assign User: Directly assign an existing user to the contract.

Once the user accepts the invitation, they will automatically be linked to the contract under the specified terms.
